
Dr. Wentworth completed his undergraduate degree from Alfred University in Western New York, with a double major in biology and chemistry, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Prior to dental school, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Oral Biology at the University of Rochester for 3 years. Dr. Wentworth then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2015, where he graduated at the top of his class, and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
After finishing dental school, Dr. Wentworth was accepted into the highly competitive four-year oral surgery training program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. During his training, he received extensive training in dental extractions, dental implants, treatment of oral pathology, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, and office anesthesia and working with medically complex patients. Since in practice, he has particular interests in the extraction of wisdom teeth, advanced bone grafting, implant surgery, including all-on-x dental implants, and office-based anesthesia. Dr. Wentworth considers patient safety of the utmost importance, and maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Lift Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
After residency, Dr. Wentworth worked as an associate Oral Surgeon at Oral Surgery Associates of Western New York in Buffalo NY for two years, and then at Greater Maryland Oral Surgery in Gaithersburg and Silver spring for four years.
Dr. Wentworth is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintains active membership with the American Dental Association, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He currently lives in Rockville with his wife, 6 year-old-daughter and 2 year-old-son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, playing guitar, hiking, and exploring the DMV area.
